This recipe is close to the one my father used to make…he would also add some cumin, use key lime juice, yellow spanish onions if available and roma tomatoes. I never cut the seeds out of the jalapinos and even use a mix of peppers to give it some kick.
This is the best Pico De Gallo recipe and is made from fresh tomato, cilantro, onion, and jalapeno – makes the best salsa ever. Some people refer to this as salsa fresca. The best pico de gallo I have ever had was on our honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas.

This looks fabulous Brandi, and the pics of your tomatoes are Beautiful! Who knew tomatoes could be so beautiful, lol!??! We just bought a big box of regular tomatoes. I imagine this recipe would work okay with those, do ya think? We were going to make and bottle salsa today, but I’ve been too dang tired. I’m lovin’ this raw recipe though and it’s not as overwhelming as making a GIANT batch and bottling it all. I may try your recipe tomorrow. It looks so so good!
Excellent salsa. Lots of work but in the end, its worth it. When Blanching the peaches and tomatoes, i find that if you put them in hot water (after you boil the jars, turn off the stove and there is your hot water) and cool them in cold water for 5 sec. You want the peaches/tomatoes to still be warm-hot but enough that you can handle it. Very good recipe. Thanks for posting.
Sometimes the most delicious recipes are also the simplest, and this is an example of how a little time in the kitchen can result in incredible tastes and tantalizingly sweet flavors. This enticing dessert is surprisingly easy to make! Start with a few peaches, some butter, sugar, and sugar. Broil the peach halves that have been brushed with butter and sugar, and they emerge from the oven hot, sweet, and caramelized, enhancing their already incredible taste. They only get better when you serve them with a simple Honey Crème Anglaise. One reviewer put it simply: “This is absolutely fantastic! Easy to make, wonderful presentation, tastes fabulous.”
We re-visited and updated the Peach apricot crumble recipe, you probably saw the lattice peach pie, and now this. Although there weren’t a ton of them, the peaches seemed extra big and super juicy this year. They were delicious in this salsa.
Quick and easy way to use tomatillos from the garden! I also used jalapeno pepper, added dice white onion, and substituted fresh lime juice for the water. Consistency was great! I will definitely make this again.
