Thanks SO much for sharing this recipe! I loved it to so much because it is so easy to whip up right before I head in for a night shift. All the nurses in the ICU love it when I whip up a batch and bring it in.
Oh and I just have a mini food processor. It takes a while because you can only do a few ingredients (or 1 can) at a time. But worth it. Also the second time I made it with fire roasted tomatoes. It was good but I prefer the plain tomatoes.
OMG! Sooooooooo good, my family begs for this! I grew the peppers this summer just for this recipe! I’ve been making it since I found it here awhile ago! Thanks Kelley! I’m putting this on my Christmas gift list! It’s so easy to make that you could make it right before the holidays along with some pretty packaged chips and some specialty beer! Wow! This sounds good. I usually make a salsa with both canned and fresh tomatoes plus the lime (my kids love the lime more than I do). I think I will try this one as mine is great but not quite “restaurant” tasting.

Oh my, I have been looking for a salsa recipe since my brother started making me homemade salsa but the few I have tried just didn’t turn out right. This looks so simple and easy and delicious! This was great! I made two batches, the first with green Roma tomatoes & I put most of the ingredients in the food processor. This batch was a light orange. Second batch I used the real green tomatoes (Big Boy & Early Girl) and cut up the ingredients into a more chunky size, and cut all the other ingredients by hand also. The texture of this salsa was much more chunky and was very green with red highlights. Both recipes were great and it’s a wonderful way to use up the tomatoes.

Just made this recipe and it is amazing salsa. I used the tomato paste and sauce as well as chopping my home grown tomatoes in a food processor (very brief chop!). This sauce has great flavor and this will be my go to recipe for red salsa. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe.
The vinegar is needed for food safety but you could try subbing in bottled lemon juice (I don’t love the flavor which is why I stick with vinegar) or search for a recipe with a different lineup of ingredients. Sorry you didn’t love it; if I were your neighbor, I’d come take it off your hands. My husband would be thrilled! 🙂
